Sunday Encounter

Sunday morning, I woke up feeling grateful. Thank God its Sunday! that's the first thing came to mind the minute I opened my eyes and see some sunshine. It was too long of a weekend for me. Too much good time and partying to the point it was too good to be true. I started getting nervous by Friday morning and wished it was Monday already on Saturday night. I was definitely overdosed on good times.
The long ass weekend gave me a chance to see how it feels like to be a rockstar. You know, the life that you can only dream of and only see on tv. It was full blown partying, hanging out, drinking, and wasting money on things you don't need, scheduled non stop from morning to night for four days straight. So before weekend was over, I had enough.

The original plan that Sunday was supposed to be staying home, being lazy, catching up on some sleep and some family time at home sweet home, but before I even get a chance to open the door in my room, I heard my brother already making alot of noise outside. Looked out the window, lil mofo was washing his car. A little background, there are a lot of equipments and stuff that need to be pull out in order to wash a car in Audit's household. The effort in getting all those outside is quite a work out. That is not involving the wash, brush, drying the car and waxing the wheels. So my lazy brain started thinking that half part of the task of washing a car is already done, so might as well. Yes, you know it, I ended up washing the cars at 730am Sunday morning. Chill original plan definitely out of the window.

Cars looking good and stomachs were empty, so we cruise up to Reston to get some brunch at this burger joint that lil mofo always telling me about. Before I know of this place, 5guys and in-n-out in the Westies are the only place I get my burg. But that day, things changed. lil mofo took me to this place The Counter, where you build your own stack. It was AWESOME! You can put soo much stuff that you've never imagined before on your burg. Ten different kinds of cheese, over ten choices of toppings starting from avocado, salsa, boiled eggs, fried eggs, fried pineapple, and much more. They even cook the meat the way I imagined it. Medium and pink in the center. I have never encounter a burger joint like the counter. It was definitely a path to a food enlightenment. To top off my Sunday morning goodness, we had a bowl of sweet potato fries with their special sauce. Too bad time flew by when you're on cloud 9. Before I know it, it was time to get back home and back on the grind. Otherwise, I would've check out the gellato shop next door.

No pics this time. I had low expectation coming into this place, so I didn't bring my camera, but I was undoubtedly wrong that morning.

Turkey Bowl

Hell yeah!!! So excited for this event, I even woke up earlier than my alarm clock. The time as I'm writing this is 449am Saturday, Nov 28 2009. I am an hour and fifteen minutes ahead of the stupid clock that I hate cause it always beat me.
I'll be there reppin' for the whole GMU crew, Jbro, and maybe Phil, cause he's on the opposing team. You need to switch team playa haha...

Hopefully, its not gonna be too cold, cause I'm gonna be standing around out on the field taking pics in a 40dees for most of the day. Aitte time to get ready, get warm and shoot. Stevey gonna rock (the)six-Zero fo' sho'.

Later on in the afternoon
Fun day. Weather a little chilly, but undeniably had an awesome time taking pics and hanging out with Jbro, Kfed, Habanero, Tabasco Sauce and my extended fam from VCU.

This what I had to deal with all day

I realized that I like women who play football than the ones who just like to watch the game.

This ball was 2 seconds away from hitting my face and my camera (notice how everyone was looking at my direction). After I snapped the pic, I literally do the duck and tuck move in front of the whole NoVa Crew to avoided it. But later on that day, there was another one that was too close to avoid and it hit me where it shouldn't be, so yes hilarity ensued.

I was there for 7 hrs for this kinda shot, but even this is not close enough. I guess its time to invest on some enhancement product haha.. Oh..thanks to Kfed for bruising my ego after he pointed that some other guy on the field had bigger and longer equipment.

Thanksgiving

My first official Thanksgiving where I sit down with one of the fams gobbling on the gobble-gobble. Thanks again to Jbro and family for the warm welcome and hospitality. Your dad knows what's up! Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, and Pho!?!?! There's no doubt he was the MVP that night. Now I know why you are the way you are hommie. You are definitely surrounded by awesomely good people.

First thing in the morning, me and the fam hit up Hari's housewarming/Thanksgiving get together. We were treated with some good ol' Indonesian foods. Got to eat some of the foods that I have not tasted in the past eight years. Undoubtedly it was a reminder of how good home feels like and where I came from. Can't ever forget that.

Next stop, Jbro's. I have been to his crib so many times but yesterday was the first time I get a chance to meet and greet with the full house. Good people, food, drinks, and importantly awesome convos. Big thanks for your dad and uncle for the life road map that we youngins needed. They know us, the GPS kids are led by a white female voice name Lamar with a 3 inch screen and don't know any better.

We left Jbro's feeling full and happy. Supposed to meet up with Randi right after, but he had to go to another party, so me and the bro head home to unwind and refresh for later on cause we know the night was young.

3 hrs later: Got my shower, my little lazy time on the bed, and to top it off a cup of Irish coffee with alot of Baileys. I was ready to go. Hit up the Shisha place to hang out with Randi and Priyank. Regular talk about breaking bread and getting to the top before I was completely fawk. Habibie had to be putting some shit that was not supposed to be on the double apple joint. Did not stay as long as I usually do, so we left right after midnight to do some early Black Friday Shopping...

Encore

Thursday:
Slow day, got out of class early and pissed of cause I drove 45 mins for a 20 mins class. Went to Chipotle before hitting the GPS take me home button. Half way enjoying my Steak Burrito I saw two familiar faces walking into the door. Two people that I have not seen or hanged out in forever. It was D and her lilbro. So I finished my halfway devoured burrito and went to her table. It turned the mood right away. I have been hanging out with the same genre of crowd, so it was good to switch it up a bit and hang out with a less edgy people (no offense to my other peeps). Laugh always presents in every conversation with her. Not a bad day after all. We got a chance to talk about all of the above; life, love, school and girls. Btw, thanks for the tips and unwritten rules on these beetches D. We definitely need to hang out more often!!

Friday:
First day I have a day off of work since God knows when. Its the day where I don't need to rush home from work to get ready and come fashionably really-really late to the event that I get invited to. I purposely take a day off, cause I was excited for the event that The Godfather and I had rigorously planned and excited to go to since two months ago. Props for him and his hard work in getting us the hottest table with the hottest people. Woke up that morning, did some errands like usual, washed the cars and by 630 I was at The Godfather's crib.

Waited for my date, the one and only Ms. Malloy to arrive. She looks F.I.N.E. FINE like always (see I wrote fine twice). Then we went scoop up The Godfather's dates (yes, plural. He had two mamasitas, who were more caliente than habanero pepper and tabasco sauce combined) then off we went to the SemiFormal. Met up with Dat, Tien, LInda, Mr. and Ms. Jeri Lee, and the man himself Mr. Sabor, who has been there waiting for us outside of The Garden. Couple of drinks, ok food, relaxing convos, and a bomb ass dance made it a good night.

Swung by to Dat's after party. Saw all the freaky-ness came out of some people that I did not know they even existed. I guess sex on the beach with Jose bring out the other side of people. Good thing I refuse to hang with Jose that night, God knows what will happen.

Saturday:
Got off work, tired as hell especially with only 4 hours of sleep the night before. On the way home from work, I told myself: no going out. Its a chill home Saturday. The Godfather invited me over to some girl bday party and I turned it down after I see myself in the mirror. I got two red eyes and a pair of black circles around my eyes from the lack of sleep. At this point I was running on 20% SteveyAudit Battery life. Layed around in bed with an empty stomach about to passed out. Then I got a call from Ndj telling me to scoop him up at his work place so we can go to HoneyPig. I said, "Whaat...?? No Way!!! Who's going?" and "OK".

For some of you who has never been to HoneyPig, you're missing out on life. That place is as fob-by and shaddy as a basement in the shanty area of Bangkok turned into a restaurant. The minute you walk into that door, you'll feel like you're in another world. Foreign yet familiar, cause you probably see the same settings in Bourdain's show. That place is about what Kfed described as AsianGlow, Pork bellies, Ox intestines and whole bunch of yellow people eating red meats.

So by that description, you know I could not turn down the offer. Started the car, scoop up Ndj and called Kfed to meet us there. By midnight, we got Won and Ms. Cass in our table ordering three orders of beef ribs, two orders of bulgogi, and four soju bottles. At the end of the night we devoured about 60 oz worth of beef and total of 45 shots. All and all it was another awesome night.

Obviously we need to take pics of some drunk asians posting on Little River Turnpike at 230am

Sunday:
I was soo hangover from the previous night it wasn't even funny. I have not felt like this in a while. I guess that was a sign of a good night. If it wasn't because of the five guys who helped me sober up and got me a big jug of hate-o-rade I would not be able to go to work that afternoon.
Big thanks to the five guys who helped me sober up

MARIO ANDRETTI FOR THE NIGHT.

I have been feeling antsy, jittery, anxious and groggy lately. I can’t sleep for the past couple of days. The minute I close my eyes, my mind started racing and my heart goes over 200mph/hr. Every side that I face is like a terrifying blind corners and turns that kept me tossing and turning through out the whole night.

It has been a lot of crests and dips on this winding and narrow two lanes road. Its definitely not for the faint of heart. So far its quite an emotional roller coaster ride since last week. I have felt so many different emotions during the past 48 hrs is not even funny. At one point I was on top of the world, happy, excited and glorious. But on another note, the minute I take a breath to soak it all in, I was all the way down at the bottom, nervous, and hollow. I have not figured out what and why bothers me, but there are a couple things, places and people that I miss…

Uumm...that is probably why my mind automatically taking a fast drive at night. I just realized it after I wrote all that. SMH.

The Beginning

Finally after much procrastination and laziness, I get to start this blog. Big thanks to Jbro, Yahya and VJ, who made this possible and pretty much put a validation stamp on this idea of getting my thoughts out of the closet (no homo). Without these people Stevey's World would never see the light of day.

Friday:
It was the most fun I've had for the past 6 months. Hung out with the boys, Randi and Kfed. We roamed around K-City till 3am. Quite an adventure. Started off by going to Kabob place for a bomb ass goat. As usual, I can't start the night (or day) right without good, fulfilling food. Stomach was filled and mood was good, we decided to go get a drink or two before hitting the Shisha place.

Decided to check out the strip joint that we always passed by and wonder what's inside of it look like. It was disappointing. Place was small and dirty, the beetches were old and busted like a retired Fairfax County squad car after serving 10 years chasing street racers. While I was trying to order some drinks, we were greeted by this land beast with a neon pink fishnet body stocking and a pair of fat lips. She ran through her fingers on my spine, which I thought was Kfed, since he was standing right behind me, so I turned around with the thought of, "Kfed WTF are you doing??" and gave her that pissed off menacing look. I guessed that scared her 'cause she left right away. We then left after we found out this place only serve beer and wine. Yeah, classy!

So we decided to go to the sports bar across the street. Went in without getting carded, so that was wierd. A lot of guys hanging by the bar and the little round tables. No females in sight other than the server. Did not think much of it, cause we were not planning on hanging out that long. Just taking shots and leave.
For the first shots we went Japanese and get the kamikaze, but we felt that the Jap presence wasn't strong enough so we invited the French Goose to join the party. Randi was not impressed and Kfed needs a chaser cause our own enemy were putting up a good fight, so as a final showdown, Kfed invited some more Japs to bomb our USSR. Mission accomplished! we were feeling the funk, which is a sign of a good night.
The more time we spent over at the bar, the more of this certain vibe came in. While we waited for the Goose to arrive, my eyes were drawn to the two guys hanging out by the bar behind Randi. One was my kind and the other was dove. First of all, me and my boys are really close, but this one was too close to the point it was weird. So I told Randi to be alert, just in case he got attacked from behind LOL. After our third shot, we left the bar in a slowly but surely manner. Walked to Shisha place and like always, it would not be a good night without a good conversation accompanied by a relaxing cloud of smoke.

Saturday:
Did not get enough sleep cause I had to get up early in the morning and do errands. If I knew it would turned out the way it was I would've slept in and not care about it. Disappointing. Like a good friend of mine always say: it was a waste!

That pretty much sealed the deal that I was not going to go out for the rest of the day other than work. So that night I decided to stay at home and do one of the fun things I like to do. Nothing say: Life is good more than good foods.

Miso Glazed Salmon pan fried on a bed of roasted peppers with rice and corn as a side.
